School holidays are ticking by.
The children play, the sun is high.
An ice-cream here, an ice-cream there,
And naming labels everywhere.
A new shirt here and there a tie,
New bags and shoes we'll have to buy.
The children are all having fun.
For mum, the naming has begun.
A name on here, a name on there,
To-Do and Done piles on the chairs.
And soon, "When's dinner?" a child will yell.
A cuppa first - that would be swell.
